What to Expect

Step 1 — Submit Your Consultation Request

  • Complete the Consultation Request Form and provide as much relevant information as possible.

All clients must electronically review and sign the Consultation Agreement and Liability Waiver through the form before a consultation can be scheduled.

Step 2 — Administrative Review

Once your request is received, our administrative scheduler will:

  • Review your submission and determine whether additional information is needed

  • Confirm the appropriate consultation type

  • Calculate the final consultation fee (if additional time or services are required)

Step 3 — Payment

Once your appointment has been approved, you will receive payment instructions by email.

Full payment is required before your consultation appointment is confirmed. Appointments are not reserved until payment has been received.

Step 4 — Appointment Confirmation

After payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email containing:

  • Appointment date and time

  • Meeting link and access

  • Consultation preparation instructions

  • Any additional documents or information needed before your session

  • Copy of the Consultation Agreement and Liability Waiver

Step 5 — Prepare for Your Consultation

  • Please organize your information before the meeting.

For example, having dates, names, locations, timelines, photographs, videos, reports, court documents, emails, text messages, or other supporting material readily available allows more time to focus on analysis rather than gathering information during the consultation.

Step 6 — Consultation Session

  • Your consultation will take place using Google Meet.

  • Consultations begin promptly at the scheduled time.

  • If additional consultation time is required, it may be scheduled separately based on availability.

Attendance, Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Clients who are 15 minutes or more late for their scheduled consultation will be considered a no-show, and the consultation will be canceled. Consultation fees are non-refundable.

  • If you need to reschedule your consultation, requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

    • Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may be approved only in documented emergency circumstances and are subject to review and approval by McLion's Research Group.

Consultation Recording & Confidentiality

  • All consultation sessions are audio and/or video recorded for documentation accuracy, quality assurance, continuity of services, training, risk management, and to ensure the accuracy of recommendations and consultation records.

  • All consultation discussions and recordings are treated as confidential and are maintained in accordance with McLion's Research Group's confidentiality policies and Consultation Agreement. Recordings are not released, shared, or disclosed except as required by law or as otherwise permitted under the Consultation Agreement.

Step 7 — After the Consultation

Depending on your consultation type, you may receive:

  • Immediate recommendations and suggested next steps

  • Proposal for continued consultation or threat assessment with MRG

  • Written follow-up (when applicable)

  • Referral to additional services if required
